WESTERN WATERS CANOE CLUB
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL/APPLICATION

Western Waters Canoe Club is a group of active open boat paddlers with a wide variety of paddling interests. Some club members enjoy calm estuaries while others enjoy wild whitewater rivers. Our purpose as a club is to promote the sport of canoeing, share our knowledge of places to paddle, support each other, and go on trips! As a club, we do not rent canoes or give lessons. However, some club members are American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructors and offer lessons. All work for the club is done on a volunteer basis.

The club meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Mel Cottons in San Jose. You are welcome to attend a club meeting where you can meet club members, gather information about the club, and enjoy a fun, interesting and informative program.

As an active member, you will receive the ACA newsletter, Paddler magazine, a 10% discount on books from the ACA Book Service, and a 10% discount on equipment from Mel Cottons (excluding boat purchases). Best of all you will be able to participate in club activities and meet a great group of people who love to canoe! You will be registered as a member of the American Canoe Association. The cost to join is $30.00 per year for an individual or $40.00 per year for a family. (If you are currently an individual member of the ACA you do not need to remit the ACA fees.)
